The Trust: Heritage is a digital outlet and archive for the research carried out by our Digital Heritage volunteers. Our current heritage work is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund; more information can be found on our projects page.

This website is primarily for the heritage branch of Inverclyde Community Development Trust (known as “The Trust” locally).

Legacies of Slavery

Inverclyde's Slave Trade Connections

A graphic novel made by Magic Torch Comics and Jideofor (J.I.M) Muotune in collaboration with Proud2Care. Follow the story of American Abolitionist Frederick Douglass (1818-1895) and explore Inverclyde's connections to the transatlantic slave trade.
